Discipline and Trade

When a user with a specified Primary Discipline / Trade logs into Onware, their name and discipline / trade appears in the status bar. Enter a user's Discipline and Trade makes the user more search-able in Onware.

At minimum, prime consultant and consultant roles should have a Primary Discipline entered. This enables documents and action items to reach these roles in specified primary disciplines. If a discipline is not set, some work flows may not be triggered for a user.

Note: If a user has more than one discipline, they will need to specify the appropriate discipline when creating or responding to project documents.

For the Subcontractor role, ensure you select a Trade.

Note: Defining a trade for subcontractors is important as this classification is required to respond to CRXs though the issuance of a trade specific, subcontractor quotation.
