Request for Information

Request for Information (RFI) is used to submit inquires to the project Consultants. A Request for Information is issued by the General Contractor Project Manager, reviewed by the Contract Administrator, and closed by the General Contractor Project Manager. If additional information is required, responses are requested to selected Consultants by the Contract Administrator.

Request for Information (RFI) is the primary method for Contractors to ask questions of the consultant team. When the question is asked, the Contractor can choose which discipline(s) they want to ask the question to. Onware automatically finds the correct consultant(s) and requests a response to the RFI.

Once all the responses have been issued by the specified disciplines, a notification is sent to the Contract Administrator to review the responses. If necessary, the Contract Administrator can re-direct the RFI to other disciplines for additional input. They can also provide their respective discipline's response and return the RFI to the General Contractor Project Manager.
